Monte mousse with fresh fruits

Mousse au Chocolat is an ever-popular French dessert that makes every dessert heart beat faster. By adding our Monte milk cream dessert, it becomes a fluffy and delicious Monte mousse in a jiffy.

A fluffy chocolate dream

Mousse au chocolat literally means "chocolate foam". To prepare it, the classic method is to whip dark chocolate, egg, sugar and cream until the mixture is fluffy. By adding further ingredients, the dessert classic can be varied individually. In this way, our Monte turns a classic chocolate mousse into a special Monte mousse that is guaranteed to blow away any Monte fan.

Decorate as you like

There are no limits to your creativity when it comes to decorating and garnishing your Monte mousse. Fresh berries, a colorful fruit sauce or crunchy nut crumbles - you decide what you like and enjoy. Whether for a convivial family evening or a big party with friends, with this homemade dessert you will always ensure happy faces.

Mega Monte

Ingredients

  • 250ml cream
  • 125g whole milk couverture
  • 5 sheets gelatine
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 20g sugar
  • 400g Monte
  • Optional: fresh berries for garnish
  • Optional: chopped hazelnuts

Utensils

  • 3 medium bowls
  • 1 small bowl
  • Pot for water bath
  • Hand mixer
  • whisk
  • dough scraper
  • piping bag
  • 10 dessert glasses

Preparation

Step 1

Whip the cream in a bowl with a hand mixer until stiff, then cover and refrigerate.

Step 2

Chop the milk chocolate and melt it slowly in a bain-marie.

Meanwhile, soak the gelatin in a bowl of cold water.

Step 3

Mix the egg yolks with the sugar and whisk gently on the bain-marie until foamy. Squeeze the soaked gelatin and stir into the warm egg mixture.

Step 4

Add the melted whole milk couverture to the whipped egg mixture and whisk briskly.

Step 5

Gently fold in Monte first and then the stiffly whipped cream.

Schritt 6

Cover the finished Monte mousse and place it in the refrigerator for a few hours. Then fill into dessert glasses using a piping bag.

Before serving, the Monte mousse can be garnished with fresh fruit.

Hint

For the extra nut crunch, you can stir additional chopped hazelnuts into your Monte mousse in step 5.
